LAMDA Group Lessons

Creative and Confidence-building Drama Opportunities
Let’s give every child the opportunity to shine through the power of performance.

London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) Lessons – Help Your Child Shine

I offer London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) speech and drama lessons that are perfect for building confidence, developing clear speech, and igniting a love of performance in a fun and nurturing environment.

These sessions are ideal for children who need a little help with speaking clearly, projecting their voice, or building self-belief. They’re also a great fit for those who are keen to develop and strengthen their speech and drama skills in a structured and supportive setting.
Each weekly lesson is just 20 minutes, making them easy to fit into the school day without causing disruption. Lessons are held in the afternoons, so they don’t interfere with core subjects—just like how instrumental music lessons are typically scheduled. This makes them a perfect addition to a child’s weekly routine.

What Happens in a LAMDA Lesson?

Lessons are split into two engaging parts:
-
Drama games and activities to build confidence, boost creativity, and improve drama and communication skills. These games are a lot of fun, and they provide an important creative outlet and emotional release—especially valuable for children who need a break from the academic demands of the day.
-
Performance practice focused on memorising a poem or prose piece, and working on diction, clarity, expression, and projection. This part of the lesson also helps to strengthen memory skills through repetition and performance technique.
Each week, children are given a small amount of independent learning to complete at home—such as practising their poem or speech—which supports the development of discipline, focus, and incremental progress. Over time, this builds layer upon layer of skill and ability that benefits them far beyond the classroom.

Optional Exams & Recognition
While lessons are designed to prepare pupils for LAMDA exams, taking an exam is entirely optional.
Children who choose not to take part in an exam will still be celebrated with a personalised homemade certificate at the end of term to recognise their hard work and progress.
(Please note: LAMDA exams are an additional cost for those who wish to enter.)

Pricing: £6 each – Small groups of up to 4
I’m currently running LAMDA sessions at Pitton and Gomeldon Primary Schools, with our first set of exams taking place in July—and the results are already showing in our pupils' confidence and communication.

Would you like LAMDA at Your School?
If you'd love to see LAMDA offered at your child’s school, simply speak to the headteacher and ask them to get in touch.
These lessons are currently in high demand, with waiting lists in place at some schools—so early registration of interest is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

"It has been wonderful to see how excited the children are to attend the LAMDA sessions with Rosie! She makes the children feel both excited and relaxed at the same time. Already we can see the children growing in confidence. The sessions have been so popular we even have a waiting list for those who would like to join and have plans to expand the sessions to make sure everyone can take part."

"Rosie has been a breath of fresh air for children signed up to take part. They delight in taking part in drama sessions with her and report that it's great fun! I have no doubt that it will be having a positive impact on both their oral speaking skills but also their self-belief and confidence. We are very pleased to have her with us at Gomeldon Primary School."
