Hello.. I'm Rosie

I’m the founder of Drama Club Salisbury, Make & Create, and Make, Create, Perform & Grow – a collection of drama and creative clubs built on care, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.

As a qualified nurse, Ofsted-registered childcare provider, and mum of two, I understand how important it is to know your child is in safe, nurturing hands. That’s why everything I offer is built around high standards, imagination, and fun.

I’ve loved performing since I was five – from playing Gretl in The Sound of Music, to taking multiple LAMDA exams, and later joining a local amateur dramatics group as an adult. Drama has always played a big role in my life, and I’ve seen first-hand how it helps children grow in confidence, communication, and creativity.

How It Started

When I couldn’t find a high-quality, child-focused drama club for my daughter Alice, I created one. We began with just six children – and now have 26 young performers preparing for our first production: Robin & the Sherwood Hoodies, hosted at Chafyn Grove Performance Hall.

Around the same time, I launched LAMDA lessons at Alice’s school. They’ve since grown to over 40 students across Gomeldon and Pitton primary schools, many of whom are confidently preparing for their first exams.

A New Direction – Bringing Creativity to Life

The idea for Make & Create began during an after-school session at Chafyn Grove Pre-Prep. After one session dressing up and being royalty, I carried on the theme the following week by decorating crowns. Even though the children were only 5 to 7 years old, they were completely focused and proud of their work.

It reminded me of crafting with my own children – how precious those creative moments are, and how hard they can be to manage when life is busy. I wanted to give families more of those moments, without the stress or prep.

Registered. Qualified. Trusted.

To expand what I offer and provide longer, more immersive workshops, I applied for Ofsted registration – a prestigious and nationally recognised qualification with high expectations for care, safeguarding, and learning.

It took hard work and formal childcare training, but now I can confidently deliver extended sessions, accept childcare vouchers, and offer parents the assurance that their children are in the care of a trained, experienced professional – not just a super-enthusiastic drama leader (though I’m that too!).

Make, Create, Perform & Grow

This is where it all comes together – themed workshops that blend drama, crafting, and imaginative storytelling. Children create their own props, characters, and narratives, then bring it all to life through performance and play.

Younger groups enjoy sessions like Adopt a Dog (Teddy) or Be a Healthcare Professional for a Day. Older children explore rich themes like Space, The Magical Forest, or Mystery Island, with more scope for storytelling, collaboration, and theatrical expression.

What I Believe

At the heart of everything I do is one clear purpose:

To create joyful and enriching experiences for children; Where they are welcomed just as they are, inspired to explore their creativity and feel fully supported with warmth, encouragement and care.
